MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Toprak Razgatlioglu and Pramac Racing identified a more aggressive development direction during the 2026 Brazil MotoGP in Goiania as part of his ongoing adaptation to the premier class.
Razgatlioglu’s weekend began positively with direct access to Q2 in mixed Friday conditions, but concluded with a 17th-place finish in the grand prix. The reigning WorldSBK champion highlighted persistent rear grip limitations on the Yamaha V4 as the primary constraint, finishing over 30 seconds behind race winner Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia Racing.

Despite the result, team director Gino Borsoi believes progress has been made, particularly at the front end of the bike. Setup changes introduced in Brazil allowed Razgatlioglu to adopt a more aggressive approach on corner entry, improving confidence when turning the bike into corners.

“In Brazil, we believe we identified a positive direction that helped Toprak be more aggressive on corner entry and more confident in moving the bike.”
“We aim to continue working along that line and hopefully see the first concrete results soon.”
This development direction will now be carried into the United States MotoGP at the Circuit of the Americas, a track with demanding characteristics that require a balance between braking performance, acceleration, and stability across high-speed sections.
Razgatlioglu confirmed the progress while acknowledging that his adaptation process remains ongoing, particularly given his limited experience in MotoGP conditions.
“In Brazil we found a positive direction, especially on corner entry, and I want to build on that and keep improving.”
“My goal is to keep progressing session by session and do my best for the team.”
COTA presents an additional challenge for the Turkish rider, as his only prior experience at the circuit dates back to the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2013. The transition to a MotoGP machine introduces significantly different technical demands, especially in energy management and tyre performance.
Meanwhile, team-mate Jack Miller views COTA as an opportunity to rebound after a difficult Brazil weekend, where he crashed early in the race. Miller has previously delivered strong performances at the circuit, including competitive results in past seasons.
“I really like this track, even though it’s not traditionally the most favourable one for Yamaha.”
“I’ve always felt competitive here, and it would be great to be in that position again, fighting with the front group.”
With a clearer development direction now emerging, Pramac Racing aims to translate technical progress into measurable results. The United States MotoGP 2026 will serve as a key benchmark in assessing whether Razgatlioglu’s more aggressive setup approach can improve competitiveness in the highly demanding MotoGP field.
