2026 F1 Standings After the Hungarian Grand Prix

Kimi Antonelli has extended his lead in the 2026 Formula 1 drivers’ standings to 50 points after finishing third at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver now has 219 points. Antonelli started the race from seventh before using a long opening stint and strong tyres during the closing stages to secure a podium finish.

Lewis Hamilton remains second with 169 points. The Ferrari driver crossed the line in fourth but was demoted to fifth by a five-second time penalty.

George Russell occupies third place in the standings with 160 points, nine behind Hamilton and 59 adrift of Antonelli. Charles Leclerc follows in fourth with 138 points.

Lando Norris’ victory in Hungary lifted the McLaren driver to fifth with 128 points. Norris is now 10 points behind Leclerc, while Max Verstappen sits sixth on 109.

Oscar Piastri remains seventh with 92 points after retiring with a gearbox failure. Isack Hadjar holds eighth place with 68 points.

Liam Lawson has moved into ninth on 43 points, one ahead of Pierre Gasly. Arvid Lindblad completes the top 11 with 23 points.

Mercedes also remains comfortably ahead in the constructors’ championship after Antonelli returned to the podium. The drivers’ title fight enters the summer break with Antonelli holding his largest advantage over Hamilton.
