When the lights went out at MotorLand Aragon, everyone had a feeling. But Marc Marquez still proved that this circuit truly belongs to him. The Ducati rider claimed his eighth victory at Aragon, leaving Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi to settle for second and third. Another near-perfect domination—again.
Marc Marquez started from pole and never really looked under pressure. The 1.7-second gap over Acosta at the end of the race showed the full control he held from the first lap. This wasn't just a win; it was a statement that the world champion's crown isn't ready to change hands yet.
Meanwhile, drama unfolded behind. Francesco Bagnaia failed to finish again after crashing on lap five. A mistake that immediately felt costly as Jorge Martin secured fifth place and cut the championship gap to 19 points. The title fight is heating up, and Pecco knows he can't afford to lose more points.
On the other side, Pedro Acosta's performance grabbed attention again. The KTM rider was aggressive and consistent, finishing P2 just 1.7 seconds behind Marquez. Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi took the third podium spot with Aprilia—a positive sign for the team in the middle of the season.
Alex Marquez finished fourth, followed by Martin who had to settle for P5. The fight at the front wasn't as intense as previous races, but it still had plenty of stories. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Enea Bastianini also had solid runs in seventh and eighth, though without any special moments.
With this result, Marquez solidifies his lead in the standings, while Martin is slowly but surely becoming a serious threat. Bagnaia, who was previously within close distance, now has to work extra hard at Misano. If mistakes like this keep happening, the title could slip away.
The next race will be held at Misano on September 11-13. The pressure will be even greater for Pecco to bounce back. Meanwhile, Marquez, with sky-high confidence, clearly won't give any room.
