The weekend at Mandalika once again showcased why MotoGP's tyre pressure regulations remain widely disliked by both riders and fans alike.
Pedro Acosta saw his race in Indonesia heavily compromised by falling front tyre pressure, a persistent technical problem that the talented Spanish rider believes has a straightforward solution.
MotoGP introduced changes to its technical regulations back in August 2023, requiring riders to spend a minimum amount of race distance above a specific tyre pressure threshold.

Currently, the rule mandates maintaining the front tyre pressure above 1.80 bar for 60 percent of the grand prix laps, with strict time penalties applied for non-compliance.
However, this rule led to bizarre tactical racing on track, forcing riders like Acosta and Marc Marquez to intentionally alter their riding strategies just to manage the pressure.
