Liam Lawson delivered an impressive performance during practice sessions at the Circuit of the Americas, climbing from 10th in FP1 to sixth in FP2. His lap time of 1m36.331s allowed him to finish ahead of both McLaren drivers, showcasing strong pace in a fiercely competitive midfield battle.

The New Zealander's strong start was underpinned by a substantial aerodynamic upgrade package introduced by the team for this weekend. The substantial revisions cover the floor, bodywork, and both front and rear wings, aimed at maximizing downforce and overall efficiency around the Austin circuit.

Refining his approach after the running, Liam Lawson expressed enthusiasm about the immediate feeling of the car and remains confident that further fine-tuning will unlock additional pace ahead of qualifying.

Despite the encouraging speed, tyre wear presented a notable hurdle during the hot afternoon running. Liam Lawson noted higher-than-expected degradation, though he expects track evolution to stabilize tyre life as the race weekend progresses toward the main events.
