The Brazilian Grand Prix weekend at Interlagos proved to be another challenging affair for Ferrari as the Italian squad struggled significantly in wet conditions. The Maranello outfit lacked the raw pace to match the front-running rivals throughout the race distance, compounding what has been a difficult stretch of races during the closing phase of the 2026 championship calendar.
Charles Leclerc crossed the finish line in seventh place, a result accompanied by a post-race investigation regarding an on-track wheel-to-wheel moment with Liam Lawson exiting turn twelve. Speaking to the media after climbing out of his cockpit, the Monegasque driver did not hold back regarding the persistent lack of grip and performance when racing on rain-soaked asphalt.
"Unfortunately, as I already mentioned after qualifying, for the past nine years when the track is wet, it has rarely gone our way. Often in these conditions, things go in the wrong direction and we usually struggle heavily as a team," Leclerc explained regarding the recurring weakness that has plagued the team over multiple technical eras.

Despite the gloomy overall pace in wet conditions, the Ferrari driver pointed out a few silver linings that could be extracted from the telemetry data. He highlighted the strong initial stint pace displayed on the other side of the garage as a vital area to study for future wet-weather setups.
"Today, however, I think Lewis had a very good pace, especially in the first stint, so I hope at least we can learn something by analyzing this pace difference. Later, when I switched to soft tyres, I don't completely agree that we weren't performing well. In the dry, I believe the speed was there," Leclerc concluded.
