Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has officially congratulated Mercedes on securing the 2026 constructors' championship with three races to spare. The Silver Arrows sealed the prestigious crown during the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend at Interlagos, cementing an utterly dominant campaign.
The title was mathematically locked in after solid drives from George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, who finished fourth and fifth respectively. This result left Ferrari with no mathematical possibility of catching the Brackley-based outfit in the remaining rounds of the season.
Throughout the 2026 season, Mercedes has been a powerhouse, racking up 12 grand prix victories and four sprint race wins. Domenicali emphasized that reaching the pinnacle of the sport is never down to just one individual, praising the relentless dedication of everyone back at the factory and trackside.

Domenicali reserved special praise for Toto Wolff, whose leadership has now guided the team to nine world titles. By matching the legendary record held by Sir Frank Williams, Wolff has etched his name deeper into the history books of Formula 1.
This constructors' triumph comes hot on the heels of Antonelli sealing his maiden drivers' world championship in Mexico City as the youngest ever champion. With three races remaining in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, Mercedes can now enjoy the closing stages of a truly historic season.
