The second practice session at the Circuit of the Americas once again witnessed Charles Leclerc command the timesheets, replicating his earlier pace-setting performance from the opening morning session in Austin.
The Monegasque driver secured the benchmark time, yet he was pushed hard by championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who steered his Mercedes machinery within a mere 42 milliseconds of the top spot following a much more challenging start to the day.
Claiming third position in the afternoon classification was Max Verstappen, whose stellar Red Bull car confirmed strong pace and carried over the immense momentum from his recent victories in Malaysia and Singapore.

Given his exceptionally strong long-run pace during the simulation programs, the Dutch driver has quickly emerged as the ultimate favorite heading into Sunday's grand prix showdown under the Texas sun.
Behind the leading trio, a significant gap emerged in the midfield, with Lewis Hamilton slotting into fourth place over six tenths adrift of his teammate Leclerc, setting the stage for a dramatic qualifying battle.
