Jack Wolff, the son of Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff, was involved in a massive and terrifying incident during the high-stakes IAME Warrior Final (IWF26). The nine-year-old karting prodigy, who recently claimed his first championship title in the IAME Series Italy X30 U10 category, experienced a dramatic crash while fighting at the absolute front of the pack during the X30 Mini final lap.
The harrowing moment occurred when front wheels locked between competitors, sending the karts skidding across the asphalt. A trailing driver was violently launched directly over the top of the tangled machines in a sequence that left spectators and commentators utterly stunned as the unfolding danger played out live on the broadcast.
The trailing kart flew right over Jack Wolff's head, violently striking his shoulder as it landed in what looked like an incredibly severe impact for a young driver. Fortunately, the resilient youngster managed to extract himself from the wrecked kart under his own power, later being spotted standing on his feet and talking to race officials while the red flags halted the session.
Motorsport journalist Thomas Maher provided reassurance on social media following the incident, noting that while the young driver required some minor treatment after walking away, he was ultimately fine. The terrifying ordeal underscored the inherent dangers of competitive motorsport even at the junior karting level.
Proving beyond a doubt that racing runs deep in his veins, the nine-year-old showed staggering tenacity immediately after the crash. Despite taking a heavy blow to the shoulder and requiring medical attention, he was reportedly adamant about getting back behind the wheel and racing again the very next day.
