A total of 26 grid slots are up for grabs for the 2027 season, matching the capacity of previous years. Eligibility is strictly open to riders born between January 1, 2008, and April 3, 2013, ensuring competitors reach the mandatory minimum age of 14 before the first official test takes place. While applications are accepted on a global scale, preference will be granted to promising young riders hailing from Northern and Central Europe.
Prospective entrants must formally declare their team name and appoint a designated team manager as part of the application procedure. The required team structure consists of a rider alongside at least one mechanic, though personnel can be sourced from within the competitor's personal family or friend network. This structure accommodates both newly formed setups and established squads looking to register directly under a centralized management figure.
The ultimate incentive for success in this series remains exceptionally high, as the eventual cup winner secures a direct promotion into the Red Bull Rookies Cup for the following year. Following the December 25 application deadline, final confirmation letters for selected entries will be issued by January 19, 2027, with successful candidates required to complete their binding registration no later than January 29, 2027.
