Motorsport fans gearing up for action at Mount Panorama are in for a striking visual treat as Chris Formosa prepares to debut a brand-new look. The #49 Ford Ranger will temporarily ditch its traditional orange livery for the iconic red, yellow, and black colors of Supercheap Auto ahead of the fourth round of the championship.
This eye-catching livery overhaul comes together through a joint effort with Formosa’s regular backer Uniden, alongside Supercheap Auto stepping in as the major retail partner. Notably, the design mirrors the aesthetic of the Team 18 wildcard entry campaigned by Craig Lowndes and Bayley Hall during the historic endurance weekend.
The one-off partnership marks a significant milestone for Supercheap Auto, representing their very first entry into the V8 SuperUtes category. It serves as a celebration of the automotive giant's long-standing connection with Mount Panorama and the legendary Bathurst 1000 event.
According to Supercheap Auto sponsorship and content manager Justin Murray, Bathurst holds a deeply special place in the company's history. He expressed immense excitement in teaming up with Uniden and Chris Formosa to support their maiden V8 SuperUte campaign.
Echoing the enthusiasm, Uniden executive regional general manager Damon Gardner stated that the partnership delivers a fantastic platform to highlight their strong commercial relationship. The action-packed V8 SuperUte Series round is set to run from October 8-11.
