The MotoGP paddock is once again embroiled in controversy as veteran rider manager Carlo Pernat launches a scathing attack against the series organizers and the international governing body FIM for their handling of the Qatar Grand Prix situation.
The event, hosted at the Lusail International Circuit, had faced weeks of intense scrutiny due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Safety concerns raised by various competitors even led to Yamaha's ultimate decision to skip the trip to Qatar.
Although on-track sessions have successfully commenced and the paddock atmosphere remains calm, the administrative fallout refuses to die down. Pernat squarely points the finger at the leadership figures for a severe lack of accountability.

"The biggest failure rests on the international federation for keeping silent. The FIM, can you believe it? The president wasn't even present, while everyone knew what was unfolding. Meanwhile, it is precisely the FIM that should dictate the rules," Pernat stated bluntly.
The outspoken Italian manager warns that the mismanagement has severely damaged the reputation of the world championship, alleging that immense financial stakes heavily influenced the decision to push forward with the event regardless of the mounting pressures.
