Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Formula 1 is set to add the Turkish Grand Prix back to the calendar for the 2027 season, with the event having last been held in 2021.
According to Motorsport.com’s Turkish edition, the owners of Istanbul Park, the FIA, and Formula 1 have reached an agreement for the fan-favourite race to return.
The report follows confirmation that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will rotate on the calendar with Spa-Francorchamps on a biannual basis until at least 2032, as part of F1’s long-term scheduling strategy.

The last winner of the Turkish Grand Prix was Valtteri Bottas with Mercedes in 2021, a race known for producing dramatic and unpredictable conditions.
In total, nine Turkish Grands Prix have been held. Felipe Massa holds the record for most wins at the circuit with three, while Lewis Hamilton is the only other driver to claim multiple victories there.
Türkiye first hosted Formula 1 in 2005, in a race won by 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen. The event dropped off the calendar after 2011 before returning during the COVID-affected 2020 season and again in 2021.
If the agreement is finalised, the return of the Turkish Grand Prix would add another classic venue to the Formula 1 calendar in the new regulatory era.
