Jorge Martin remains firmly in command of the 2026 MotoGP championship. The Aprilia Racing rider leads with 208 points, 14 clear of surprise contender Ai Ogura in second.
This season has been all about Martin. With five wins and nine podiums from 12 rounds, his consistency is hard to match. Yet his lead is not as comfortable as it looks—Ogura is closing in with four podiums, including two wins, and is just one race behind.
Behind them, Marc Marquez of Ducati Lenovo Team sits third with 190 points. Despite only three wins, Marquez has shown solid form with seven top-five finishes, making him a real threat for the rest of the season.
The fight at the front is heating up as Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46) are just a few points adrift. Both have four podiums, and a 24-point gap to the leader keeps their title hopes alive.
Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia finds himself down in eighth with 143 points. Far from expectations, the two-time champion trails Martin by 65 points. Inconsistent performances mean he must dig deep to defend his crown.
With eight rounds remaining, every race is crucial. Can Martin hold on, or will Ogura overtake him? The 2026 season still has plenty of stories to tell.
