The world of motorcycle racing broadcasting received prestigious recognition as Suzi Perry and Neil Hodgson were officially shortlisted for the Broadcast Sport Awards.
This annual awards event highlights the most influential figures in UK sports broadcasting. Suzi Perry was nominated in the Sports Presenter of the Year category thanks to her dynamic hosting throughout the premier class race weekends.
Meanwhile, Neil Hodgson, a former WorldSBK champion and expert pundit, faces fierce competition in the Sports Pundit of the Year category. Their presence amid a football-dominated shortlist demonstrates the growing reach of motorcycle racing in mainstream media.
Reacting to the nomination, Hodgson shared his pride on social media, stating: It means the world to me just being nominated for an award like this. Motorcycle racing deserves more recognition in the UK so to be acknowledged in this way is a huge honour.
Beyond individual accolades, the technical broadcast innovation brought by the network also earned critical acclaim. The popular data-overlay feature used during live race coverage secured a nomination in the Best Use Of Data In A Sports Broadcast category.
The winners of these prestigious awards will be officially announced during a dedicated ceremony held at the London Hilton on November 5. Industry leaders and sports broadcasters will gather to celebrate the finest achievements in media production.
