Marc Marquez once again proved why MotorLand Aragon is one of his favorite circuits on the MotoGP calendar. In Saturday's Sprint Race, the Ducati rider delivered a stellar performance, clinching victory despite starting from second on the grid behind Marco Bezzecchi. As soon as the lights went out, Marquez took the lead at the first corner and never looked back.
Behind him, Alex Marquez also showed his cleverness. Starting from third, the younger Marquez used his brother's move to slip past Bezzecchi at the opening corner and secure second place. Bezzecchi had to settle for third, a respectable result given his physical condition after recent injuries.
Pedro Acosta came close to a podium finish. The KTM rider engaged in a fierce battle with championship leader Jorge Martin, who ended up fifth. There was a funny moment when Acosta forgot his grid slot for the Sprint, forcing him to push his bike backward. Fermin Aldeguer, returning from injury, finished sixth.
