Rising motorcycle racing star Maximo Quiles has officially etched his name in motorsport history by securing the coveted Moto3 world championship title. Achieving ultimate glory in the lightweight class requires immense dedication, unmatched speed, and psychological resilience. In an exclusive interview conducted by Manuel Pecino directly from the circuit paddock, the newly crowned world champion opened up about his stellar season, his aggressive racing style, and the profound support he received from seasoned MotoGP icons.
From the very beginning of his career in the world championship paddock, the exceptional relationship between the young Spaniard and the Cervera brothers has captured significant attention. The multi-time world champions immediately recognized a unique spark in Quiles, firmly believing in his extraordinary potential long before he cemented his status at the pinnacle of Moto3. The young rider noted that convincing them was never an issue because they were already completely certain of his natural racing abilities.
Throughout a dominant campaign, the statistics heavily favor the young contender, highlighted by an astonishing 10 race victories and 15 podium finishes. His relentless ambition, calculated aggressiveness, and consistent race pace allowed him to pull away from formidable rivals such as Brian and Almansa. Reflecting on his aggressive approach, he admitted that his fierce on-track style often keeps his entire team on edge, as he constantly pushes his machinery right to the absolute limit of grip.

Recalling the intense pressure during the title-deciding race, he detailed the psychological challenge of leading the pack alone for numerous laps. A minor mistake running wide at turn 16 momentarily triggered nervousness, especially with hard-charging competitors rapidly closing the gap from behind. However, the superior race pace he meticulously identified and analyzed as early as free practice two (FP2) provided the crucial advantage needed to withstand the pressure and cross the finish line victorious.
Looking ahead to the future and the inevitable discussions surrounding a potential promotion to the Moto2 intermediate class, the young champion remains grounded despite harboring high ambitions. Emphasizing the importance of maintaining his current winning mentality without getting ahead of himself, he intends to treat every remaining challenge with the exact same hunger and focus that brought him to the summit of Moto3.
