Action immediately heated up at the start of the race weekend as Marc Marquez successfully claimed the fastest time in the opening free practice session. Riding for the Ducati Lenovo Team under warm ambient conditions, the Spanish rider clocked an impressive lap time of 1'52.278 around the circuit.
Intense battles unfolded right from the green light in the pit lane. Marco Bezzecchi initially led the timing sheets in the early stages before Marquez seized control of the top spot roughly fifteen minutes into the session. Telemetry data highlighted Marquez's exceptional strength during late braking phases into critical corners.
Behind the pace-setter, the fight for the front positions escalated rapidly among the championship contenders. Fabio Di Giannantonio delivered a solid performance to secure a top-three finish, while Pedro Acosta charged up to fourth before suffering a late-session stoppage.

Jorge Martin, still managing lingering wrist pain following an incident in Australia, rounded out the top five. The title contender finished roughly seven-tenths of a second shy of Marquez's benchmark time by the checkered flag.
The opening practice was also marked by several early crashes, including substitute rider Jake Dixon and Brad Binder who went down at Turn 7. Nevertheless, the session showcased fierce determination from the premier class stars.
