Thomas Bridewell initially shone before a yellow-flag penalty and a late crash dashed his hopes. Then it became an internal Aruba.it battle between Nicolo Bulega and Iker Lecuona.
Bulega was first to dip below 1:35, but Lecuona responded to snatch provisional pole. With three minutes left, the duel intensified as both riders pushed their limits.
Bulega sealed the deal with a 1:34.318 lap, while Lecuona was pipped by Sam Lowes for second. An all-Ducati front row sets the stage for an exciting race.

Yari Montella and Alberto Surra impressed by taking fourth and fifth on the grid, ready to challenge for podiums in Race 1 later today.
