Lando Norris clinched a brilliant victory at a weather-affected Sao Paulo Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit. The McLaren driver successfully overcame a challenging start and unpredictable track conditions to convert his pole position into his third win of the season in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Having lost the lead off the line under intense pressure from his rivals, the British driver kept his composure throughout the changing wet and dry phases. His superior pace and tactical execution allowed him to reclaim the front, securing his 14th career victory and 50th podium finish in the pinnacle of motorsport.
Further down the field, Max Verstappen delivered another phenomenal performance by charging from 21st on the grid to finish a remarkable second. The Red Bull racer finished ahead of his team-mate Isack Hadjar, who rounded out the podium places in a chaotic race of attrition.

Meanwhile, massive celebrations echoed through the Mercedes garage as the team officially clinched the 2026 Formula 1 constructors' championship with three rounds remaining. This triumph was sealed by solid points finishes from George Russell and newly crowned world champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
This achievement marks Mercedes' first constructors' title since 2021 and their ninth overall in world championship history. The action-packed race in Sao Paulo also featured late battles in the midfield, where Charles Leclerc muscled past Liam Lawson on the final lap to snatch seventh place for Scuderia Ferrari.

"It was a very tough race, very very tough," race-winner Lando Norris said in parc ferme. "I didn't have the best of launches off the line. A lot of challenges today with the conditions and going onto slicks in the wet is always tough, especially when you are pushing for the lead and trying to catch up a little bit."
"The main thing today was I kept it cool and didn't make any mistakes and had the pace when I needed to. Nice to be back on the top step and what a place to do it as well," he added.
Drama struck Lewis Hamilton during the late rain shower as a delayed switch to intermediate tires resulted in a spin, forcing the seven-time world champion to settle for ninth. Elsewhere, Nico Hulkenberg grabbed the final point for Audi, Fernando Alonso missed out on the points in 12th for Aston Martin, and Valtteri Bottas failed to start due to a mechanical issue on his Cadillac.
