Lando Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri collided on the final lap of the Singapore GP Sprint Race, costing McLaren a potential double points finish in a dramatic conclusion to the session.
The race stewards officially decided that no further action will be taken against Lando Norris following the collision with his teammate while attempting an ambitious overtaking maneuver at the apex of Turn 5.
Lando Norris went down the inside of Oscar Piastri, who subsequently explained that he had not expected his teammate to attempt an overtake from that angle and ultimately did not see him coming.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris believed the other McLaren machine would leave adequate space for the move, but there was significantly less room than anticipated, causing both cars to spin out.
After thoroughly reviewing the incident from multiple angles, the stewards concluded that both drivers had contributed to the collision and neither was fully at fault, leading to the decision of taking no further action.
The British driver dropped down to eighth position as a result of the spin but managed to recover and finish the race, picking up a sole championship point for McLaren.
Unfortunately, Oscar Piastri was unable to make it to the chequered flag, recording his second DNF of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
