MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Johann Zarco of LCR Honda led a rain-affected Practice session at the 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix, confirming the full list of riders advancing directly to Q2 and those heading into Q1.
Friday’s track action in Goiania was disrupted by heavy overnight rain, forcing a delay to the schedule. FP1 was extended to one hour to allow riders additional time to familiarise themselves with the circuit, while the afternoon Practice session was reduced to 60 minutes.
With rain threatening throughout the session, riders immediately pushed for competitive lap times at the start. Approximately 30 minutes of effective running were available before worsening conditions prevented further improvements, effectively locking in the classification.

Zarco set a benchmark lap of 1’21.257, finishing ahead of reigning world champion Marc Marquez and rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu. The result secured his position at the top of the standings and defined the riders progressing directly into Q2.
The session also produced notable surprises, particularly the absence of Marco Bezzecchi, who could only manage 20th place. Alongside him, Raul Fernandez also failed to reach the top 10 despite strong performances in Thailand.
