Hadjar Turns Viral Dutch GP Trophy Moment into Red Bull Helmet Design

Isack Hadjar is carrying the memory of his maiden Formula 1 podium into this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix with a custom helmet design that celebrates his infamous broken Delft Blue trophy. The French driver's special-edition lid for Red Bull Racing features an illustration of the shattered trophy and his own reaction, immortalising a moment that went viral across social media last season.

Red Bull has unveiled one-off race suits and helmets for Max Verstappen and Hadjar as Zandvoort hosts its final F1 race before being dropped from the calendar. The Milton Keynes-based squad has embraced the occasion with designs inspired by traditional Dutch Delftware, characterised by blue-and-white colour schemes and intricate floral patterns.

Hadjar secured his first F1 podium at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, finishing third and becoming the youngest Frenchman in championship history to stand on the rostrum. However, the post-race celebrations took an unexpected turn when he broke his Delft Blue trophy while celebrating with his then-team, Racing Bulls. Rather than shying away from the incident, Hadjar has chosen to highlight it.

“Honestly, man, I don’t even know where my trophy is, my broken trophy,” he told Sky Sports F1 at the time. “I mean, the team is taking care of it, I guess. I left it in good hands.” He added, “But I want my broken one because it’s part of my podium journey. The new one doesn’t smell of alcohol, like the champagne and whatever.”

The decision to feature the broken trophy on his helmet reflects Hadjar's personality and his connection with fans. It also adds a personal layer to the weekend's narrative, as Red Bull aims to celebrate its Dutch heritage and Verstappen's dominance at Zandvoort, where he has won three of the four editions held so far.

From a technical standpoint, the special livery provides a visual anchor for the team's final appearance at the circuit. Verstappen will be eager to deliver a strong result in front of his home crowd, while Hadjar will look to build on his promising form. The Dutch Grand Prix is scheduled for 21-23 August, marking the end of an era for Zandvoort.
