The final practice session of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia round at the Gold Coast street circuit was brought to a premature halt following a heavy crash involving driver Flack. The incident occurred with just four minutes remaining on the clock while the #777 Sonic Motor Racing driver was running comfortably inside the top ten of the timesheets.

The accident unfolded when the Porsche stepped sideways through the entry of the opening chicane. The car awkwardly climbed the kerb at Turn 2 and slid sideways across the track, culminating in a violent, head-on impact with the concrete barrier that heavily damaged the front end of the machine.

Swift reactions were captured as Flack quickly removed his hands from the steering wheel just before the heavy collision to protect himself from potential impact injuries. Fortunately, despite the severity of the crash, the driver emerged from the wreckage completely unscathed and walked away from the incident without any major physical harm.

Race control immediately deployed the red flag to secure the accident zone and attend to the damaged barriers, ultimately declaring the session finished with just over two minutes of track time left unspent. This abrupt conclusion solidified the timing order ahead of the upcoming competitive sessions.

He led a competitive top three ahead of Glen Wood and Dylan O'Keeffe, while Practice 1 pacesetter Tom Bewley settled for fourth fastest ahead of David Russell rounding out the top five positions.
