Motorsport, Sportrik Media - Max Verstappen attracted significant attention following a standout performance at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, but it was critical commentary regarding his role in an upcoming endurance line-up that prompted a firm response from team-mate Dani Juncadella.
Verstappen delivered a commanding display in the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), securing pole position by a margin of nearly two seconds before controlling the race with authority. His pace and adaptability on the Nordschleife — often referred to as the “Green Hell” — underlined his immediate competitiveness despite limited experience in GT3 machinery.
Although the final result was impacted by a post-race disqualification due to a tyre set irregularity, the overall assessment of Verstappen’s performance remained highly positive. The remarks quickly gained traction across social media platforms, prompting a direct response from Juncadella. The Mercedes factory driver defended Verstappen by highlighting key elements of his on-track performance.
