Nicolo Bulega once again showcased his dominance in WorldSBK. The Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider clinched pole position in the Superpole session at the French round, Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours, setting a new official lap record.
Bulega's advantage over his closest rival, Sam Lowes from Marc VDS Racing Team, was slim. Iker Lecuona completed the top three on another Ducati, highlighting the fierce competition at the front.
Ducati Dominance at Magny-Cours
Ducati truly dominated this qualifying session. Out of the top ten, eight riders were on Panigale V4 R machinery, showcasing the Italian manufacturer's technical edge at this circuit.

Yari Montella and Alberto Surra followed behind Lecuona, while Alex Lowes was the fastest from the Bimota camp. The midfield battle was also tight, with very close time gaps.
Surprises and Disappointments in Superpole
Jake Dixon from Honda HRC impressed by taking tenth place. Meanwhile, Alvaro Bautista had to settle for fourteenth, far from expectations, after being outpaced by his teammate at Barni Spark Racing.
Danilo Petrucci and Miguel Oliveira from ROKiT BMW were further down in eighteenth and nineteenth. This result is a warning sign for the German manufacturer's team, which failed to compete at the sharp end.
Starting from the front, Bulega is now the clear favorite for Race 1 victory. The question is, can he maintain his impressive form when the lights go out? Watch his action on the Ducati.
