Benda Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo: 34 HP V-Twin Cruiser, No Gears

Benda has unveiled the Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo, a 343cc cruiser that blends a 34hp V-Twin engine with a CVT automatic transmission and no gear pedal or clutch lever. It's a bold proposition for riders seeking a different kind of cruiser experience.

The liquid-cooled V-Twin produces 34hp at 8,700rpm and 31Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Each cylinder has four valves and a balance shaft to smooth out vibrations. A belt drive completes the package, setting it apart from traditional cruisers.

CVT Changes the Riding Experience

With the CVT, there's no need to select a gear before a corner or hunt for the right ratio when overtaking. Response depends solely on throttle input and variator behavior. For scooter riders, adaptation is immediate; for those used to manual gearboxes, the difference is noticeable from the first meters.

Benda doesn't hide the cruiser DNA. The seat height is just 690mm, making it easy to plant both feet. The wheelbase measures 1,485mm and the tank holds 16 liters. Weight is claimed at 195kg—seemingly high for a 343cc bike, but that's part of the cruiser appeal: a long wheelbase, a twin-cylinder engine, and dimensions that deliver visual presence.

Suspension and Electronics

The front uses an inverted fork, while the rear gets dual hydraulic shocks with 115mm and 37mm travel respectively. Braking is handled by ABS, and traction control is also included—a rare electronic aid in this segment. Other features include a parking mode P that requires brake application to start, simplifying operations.

With this model, Benda challenges the mid-size cruiser segment. The Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo is not just a motorcycle; it's a statement that comfort and style can coexist without sacrificing character.
