The long-simmering tension between Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix da Costa finally boiled over at the London E-Prix. What was once fierce rivalry turned into open hostility that colored the title-deciding race.
While Wehrlein fought for a second world title, da Costa acted as a blocker to help his Jaguar teammate Mitch Evans, who still had a slim chance. Pit wall instructions triggered heated radio exchanges.
"They are just getting a taste of their own medicine. Don't f*** with me, don't f*** with me," da Costa said when asked to back up the Porsche. Though there was no significant contact, their duels left little room, and the acrimony peaked with Wehrlein mocking da Costa just before the finish.

"Look at him, he still wants to fight. What an idiot, this guy. Sore loser. I f***ing beat you three years in a row," Wehrlein taunted, having already secured the title. Da Costa's tactics initially worked: Evans passed both, and Wehrlein briefly lost the points lead to Jake Dennis before a three-car clash.
But Evans ran out of time to chase down the race leaders. After the race, Wehrlein called da Costa's driving "one of the most unsporting and unfair things I have seen." He added, "Antonio tried for 20 laps to ruin my race... trying to ruin my championship."
Da Costa countered, explaining his "taste of their own medicine" strategy was a response to what he and Jaguar believed were questionable tactics by Porsche the day before. "They have no right to say anything. We did nothing that they haven't done before," he asserted.
This feud adds extra spice to the Formula E paddock. With Wehrlein's title secured, the big question is: can these two mend fences, or will it be a ticking time bomb for next season?
