Max Verstappen has urged Red Bull to "dial out" the balance issues he is experiencing after his worst-ever qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix. The Dutchman could only manage seventh on the grid, a disappointing result for the final race at Zandvoort.

This marks the first time Verstappen has started outside the top three at his home circuit, having never been lower than third previously. Red Bull had hoped the slow, twisty nature of the track would suit the RB22, but instead they proved to be only the fourth-fastest team, behind McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari.
His teammate Liam Lawson also struggled, ending up eighth. Verstappen explained that the changes made from Sprint to qualifying had no effect. "It is just the same balance issues that we have every weekend. Unfortunately, with the big changes we made, we didn't really do anything to the car," he told media, including RacingNews365.

He also noted that Zandvoort's banked corners and elevation changes are "not the best layout" for the RB22. "We can guess on what tracks it might be better, but we need to dial it out," he said, adding that he is also fighting illness.
When asked if he was frustrated by the lack of progress compared to last year, Verstappen rejected the idea. "This is a completely different formula, and we've never nailed it yet. So it's different circumstances," he concluded.
