Jack Miller leads Pramac teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Toprak Razgatlioglu has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 MotoGP season following a medical evaluation in Milan which determined he must undergo surgery on Monday, October 26. The procedure is necessary to address a severe shoulder injury sustained during his heavy crash at Mandalika during the Indonesian Grand Prix. This premature end to his campaign deals a significant blow to the Turkish rider, who has been working tirelessly to adapt to the YZR-M1 machine.

Pramac team director Gino Borsoi expressed deep regret over the unfortunate situation, acknowledging how much the rider desired to race at Phillip Island and continue his developmental journey. However, Borsoi emphasized that physical well-being must always take precedence over sporting ambitions, assuring that the team will provide unwavering support throughout the recovery period until he is fully fit to return to competition.

To navigate the vacancy, Pramac has confirmed that Augusto Fernandez will step in to pilot the bike for the final five rounds of the year. Leveraging his deep familiarity with the machinery as Yamaha's official test rider, Fernandez is expected to hit the ground running. Borsoi welcomed the Spanish rider into the fold, expressing confidence in their collaborative potential while extending best wishes for Razgatlioglu's upcoming medical procedure.

Reflecting on the painful decision, Razgatlioglu admitted his profound disappointment at missing the Australian round, noting that Phillip Island remains one of his favorite tracks with cherished memories from his Superbike career. Subsequent medical examinations revealed the shoulder damage was far more extensive than initially diagnosed, leaving surgery as the only viable path to achieve a full 100 percent recovery.
