The premier class grid is now fully locked in following the latest announcements for the upcoming 2027 world championship season. A total of 11 teams and 22 riders are confirmed to hit the track next year, promising an unprecedented spectacle for motorsport fans worldwide. The upcoming campaign will mark a massive regulatory shift, featuring a blend of established world champions and hungry young rookies eager to make their mark.
Factory and independent team rosters have undergone significant shuffles to prepare for this new era. In the Ducati Lenovo garage, Marc Marquez joins forces with Pedro Acosta to form an explosive all-Spanish title-contending lineup. Meanwhile, the VR46 Racing Team entrusts its machines to Fermin Aldeguer and rookie Nicolo Bulega, alongside Gresini Racing which fields Joan Mir and rookie Dani Holgado on Ducati machinery.
Over at Aprilia Racing, the Noale factory pairs Marco Bezzecchi with Pecco Bagnaia, while TrackHouse Racing completes its roster with Raul Fernandez and Enea Bastianini. In the Austrian camp, Red Bull KTM relies on Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio, whereas Tech3 KTM pairs veteran Luca Marini with rising talent Senna Agius.

Japanese manufacturers are also making major moves to fight back at the front. Honda HRC pins its hopes on Fabio Quartararo and Diogo Moreira, while LCR Honda features Johann Zarco alongside rookie sensation David Alonso. Yamaha's factory squad welcomes Jorge Martin alongside Ai Ogura, with Pramac Yamaha completing their lineup with Toprak Razgatlioglu and Izan Guevara.
As reported by Motosan.es, the upcoming season will present a monumental challenge for all manufacturers as they adapt to sweeping regulatory changes. The 2027 technical overhaul includes engine displacement dropping from 1000cc to 850cc, reduced aerodynamics, a brand-new tire supplier in Pirelli, and the introduction of 100 percent sustainable fuels. With the rider market settled, all attention now shifts to pre-season development and track action.
