WorldSBK, Sportrik Media - Sam Lowes believes the unpredictable weather expected at the 2026 Czech WorldSBK could help him return to competitive form at the Most circuit.
The British rider arrives in Czechia following a difficult weekend at Balaton Park in Hungary where he failed to show the full potential of his Ducati package.
Lowes had targeted podium contention in Hungary after strong performances at Assen and during Balaton’s debut WorldSBK appearance last season. However, his best result ended up being sixth place.

"I really enjoyed Most last season. On Sunday I had two fourth places and some really close battles with Petrucci," Lowes told WorldSBK.com.
"But finishing fourth always leaves a bitter taste. Balaton was not the easiest weekend for us. We had a few issues and I also made some mistakes."
Lowes believes the cold temperatures and possibility of rain in Czechia could work in his favour as an English rider accustomed to difficult conditions.
"The weather looks mixed this weekend and quite cold. Being an Englishman, it will probably play into our hands!" he said.
However, Lowes stressed that he is not relying entirely on wet weather because he currently feels competitive in all track conditions.
"I’m pretty fast in the wet, in intermediate conditions, and also in the dry. Some riders don’t like the rain, but for me it’s not really a problem," explained Lowes.
The Ducati rider also believes the changing weather conditions could create additional drama in the WorldSBK title battle, particularly for championship leader Nicolo Bulega.
The Czech WorldSBK weekend is expected to feature unstable weather and low temperatures throughout the event at Autodrom Most.
