A rider has died following a serious incident during a trackday event at Mugello Circuit, organisers No Limits Trackdays have confirmed.
The incident occurred after one motorcycle suffered a mechanical failure that deposited oil on the circuit. A number of following riders were then caught out by the contaminated surface and crashed.
The session was immediately red-flagged and the circuit’s medical response was deployed to the scene. Despite the rapid intervention, organisers confirmed that one rider died at the circuit.

The rider’s identity has not been released out of respect for the family. No Limits Trackdays expressed its condolences to the rider’s relatives and friends while confirming support is being provided to those affected by the incident.
No Limits Trackdays managing director Mark Neate said the company would cooperate fully with the relevant authorities as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The organiser will also conduct a comprehensive review of its own procedures alongside the circuit and event partner DG Events.
No Limits Trackdays stressed that rider safety remains central to its operations after more than 30 years of running track events. The investigation will now focus on establishing the full sequence of events that led to the fatal incident.
