Raul Fernandez Slams Unprofessional Marco Bezzecchi After Indonesian GP Sprint Crash

Raul Fernandez has launched a scathing attack on Marco Bezzecchi after the pair crashed on their way into the first braking zone of the MotoGP sprint at the Mandalika circuit.

Saturday began in the best possible way for the Trackhouse Racing rider, who secured his maiden MotoGP pole position. However, the day ended horribly with the Spaniard on the ground, suffering a fractured finger and unsure whether he would be able to line up for Sunday’s main race.

The chain of events left Fernandez seething, prompting him to lash out at the factory Aprilia rider whom he accused of deliberately causing the crash during the opening stages of the sprint race.

As they approached the first corner, the factory Aprilia rider ran wide and forced Fernandez towards the outside kerb. As both riders began leaning into the right-hander, the accordion effect prompted Bezzecchi to suddenly pick up his bike and lose grip, resulting in a heavy collision.

Reflecting on the incident with intense frustration, Fernandez stated that the worst thing is knowing Marco did something he shouldn't have done, describing the aggressive maneuver as entirely unprofessional given their shared machinery and strong race pace.
