Nico Hulkenberg lost two positions in the final result of the 2026 British Formula 1 Sprint at Silverstone after being deemed to have gained an advantage off the track.
The Audi driver originally crossed the line in 13th place, but dropped to 15th once the penalty was applied. That moved Gabriel Bortoleto up to 13th, while Oliver Bearman took 14th for Haas.
At the front, Kimi Antonelli remained the Sprint winner after defeating Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes driver finished 2.745 seconds ahead of the Ferrari driver, while Lando Norris completed the top three for McLaren.

The adjusted classification also kept George Russell fourth and Charles Leclerc fifth. Max Verstappen finished sixth for Red Bull, ahead of Oscar Piastri in seventh.
Liam Lawson kept the final point in eighth despite being investigated by the stewards for his defensive move against Isack Hadjar. Lawson received only a warning, meaning his result remained unchanged.
Hadjar finished ninth, followed by Arvid Lindblad in 10th. The two Alpine drivers, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, followed before the order was reshaped by Hulkenberg's penalty.
Hulkenberg's penalty did not alter the points-paying top eight, but it remained significant for the midfield classification and stewarding interpretation. Attention now turns to qualifying and the main British Grand Prix, where teams must balance Silverstone's high-speed demands with the risk of penalties for track-limit-related advantage.
