The premier class of motorcycle racing is set to share the spotlight with Formula 1 this weekend in Austin. Dani Pedrosa alongside a stellar lineup of test riders will hit the asphalt for a high-octane demonstration in front of a massive crowd.
As reported by Motorsport.com, this milestone event marks the first time MotoGP has ever been integrated into an official F1 Grand Prix weekend. Organized by Liberty Media, the initiative aims to introduce the high-speed world of motorcycle prototypes to a much broader American motorsport audience.
Four distinct prototype machines will roar around the Circuit of the Americas during Saturday's schedule ahead of the final F1 practice session. The 20-minute exhibition will give four-wheel fans a close-up experience of machinery capable of generating well over 130 decibels of pure engine noise.

Representing the major manufacturers alongside the Spanish legend will be WorldSBK champion Nicolo Bulega aboard a Ducati, alongside seasoned test riders Andrea Dovizioso for Yamaha and Lorenzo Savadori representing Aprilia.
"It's always special to ride a MotoGP bike at COTA, one of the most iconic circuits in the world," Pedrosa stated regarding the historic track appearance.

The multi-time Grand Prix winner emphasized that the event provides a fantastic platform to showcase the raw thrill of the series. "The speed, sound and performance of these bikes are something that has to be experienced in person, and I'm really looking forward to sharing that experience with everyone in Austin," he added.
While current championship contenders are occupied at Phillip Island for the Australian Grand Prix, dedicated fan zones and rider appearances from Thursday through Sunday will maintain engagement. The activities serve to build substantial momentum ahead of the official championship return to COTA scheduled for April 2027.
