Formula 1, Sportrik Media - McLaren has confirmed the extension of its long-term partnership with Dell Technologies, reinforcing the technological backbone that supports the development of the MCL40 driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
The collaboration, which began in 2018, will see Dell continue as the Woking-based team’s official innovation partner. Its technology underpins core infrastructure across the organisation, from design and simulation to trackside operations and data processing at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC).
In an era defined by increasingly complex regulations and data-intensive performance modelling, computing capability has become central to competitive execution. Dell provides high-performance computing tools, advanced workstations and secure infrastructure that enable aerodynamic development, race strategy simulations and real-time telemetry analysis.

“Our work with Dell Technologies has become a natural part of how we operate as a Formula 1 team,” said Zak Brown.
“Their support strengthens the way we work across the organisation, helping us stay agile and competitive in a sport where every detail matters. Extending this relationship reflects the confidence we have in what we can achieve together.”
Under the renewed agreement, Dell will continue supplying PCs, enterprise-grade computing systems and digital infrastructure across all departments. Its branding will remain visible on the MCL40 throughout the 2026 campaign, reflecting the depth of the strategic alignment between the two organisations.
From Dell’s perspective, the partnership represents a live demonstration of how advanced technology can deliver tangible performance benefits in a high-pressure environment where operational margins are measured in milliseconds.
“The relationship between Dell Technologies and McLaren Racing showcases what’s possible when two organisations are dedicated to pushing boundaries,” said Dell chief marketing officer Gerri Tunnell.
“Dell’s solutions are a catalyst for human progress. With McLaren, we’re demonstrating how the combination of powerful technology and human ingenuity can deliver real competitive advantages in high-stakes environments — an approach that inspires innovation across industries worldwide.”
As Formula 1 transitions into the 2026 regulatory framework, the integration between aerodynamic efficiency, power unit management and data analytics will become even more critical. For McLaren, maintaining technological continuity through its extended partnership with Dell forms a key component of sustaining long-term competitiveness in an increasingly digital performance landscape.
