Heading into the crucial race weekend at the iconic Phillip Island circuit, Marco Bezzecchi arrives in Australia with fierce ambition to maintain his strong momentum in the MotoGP world championship. The stalwart rider from the Noale factory aims to replicate or even surpass the impressive third-place podium finish he secured last season at the historic seaside track, as the championship battle enters a critical phase.
His recent emotional victory at the Mandalika circuit in Indonesia serves as a massive psychological boost for the Italian rider. As reported by Motosan.es through collaborator Manuel Pecino, Bezzecchi confessed that standing on the top step had become an overriding obsession ever since his costly crash and subsequent injury at Sachsenring. I am extremely happy to have secured the victory in Mandalika, Bezzecchi stated.
It was an absolute obsession of mine ever since I crashed at Sachsenring and got injured. It brought me so much joy to be able to prove to myself that I can still fight for the victory, and now I have to completely center my focus on this upcoming weekend, which is vitally important. The competitive landscape across the remaining calendar makes every session crucial as Aprilia looks for any opportunity to challenge the dominant forces.

Addressing rumors regarding internal garage strategies, the Italian firmly stated that his squad has entirely refrained from discussing team orders ahead of the race. We have never discussed team orders at all, he clarified regarding the relaxed atmosphere within the team headquarters.
It was a completely normal weekend meeting. We always work closely with the guys from Trackhouse, Aprilia always operates that way and we all know their work is vital for us. Gathering together and discussing every situation is completely normal, so for now, that is all there is to it. It was not a formal meeting in the strict sense, just sharing a few coffees together, maybe two or three.
Facing the notoriously unpredictable weather conditions in Australia, Bezzecchi adopts a pragmatic yet highly focused approach toward the challenges ahead. Here, it is completely normal for the weather to change multiple times throughout the weekend, Bezzecchi analyzed regarding the atmospheric shifts.
At the end of the day, the conditions will be identical for everyone, so the absolute maximum we can achieve is to try and adapt as rapidly as possible. Naturally, a wet race is always extremely difficult, but a dry setup is hardly much easier either. We will just open our hotel window every morning to evaluate the actual situation and adapt accordingly.
The Phillip Island layout holds a special romantic appeal for many riders due to its high-speed corners and stunning coastal backdrop. Bezzecchi made no secret of his deep admiration for the unique atmosphere found at the Australian venue. The circuit is simply magnificent, he enthused.
While I have not yet accumulated an extensive career history here in the world championship, the emotions I felt right from my very first race at this venue have been truly incredible. This track is gorgeous, and its beauty is amplified tenfold with MotoGP machines. Overall, it creates a completely unique weekend experience: staying together in houses with the team, having the beach nearby, and enjoying the breathtaking natural scenery.
