A bitter crash during the sprint race in Qatar proved to be mere motivation for Marco Bezzecchi, who delivered a masterclass performance in Sunday's Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit. The Italian rider, now donning the factory Aprilia Racing colors, executed a flawless start as the lights went out, immediately seizing control of the 22-lap main race and leaving the rest of the grid scrambling behind him.
Right from the opening laps, Marco Bezzecchi established a formidable pace alongside Raul Fernandez of the Trackhouse MotoGP Team. The duo quickly broke away from the chasing pack, with the Aprilia star building an advantage of over four seconds by the eighth lap. His rhythm and tire management proved to be the decisive factors in maintaining such a comfortable gap throughout the early stages of the grand prix.
The tension escalated midway through the race when Marc Marquez began unleashing blistering pace, setting the fastest lap of the race on lap 13. Recognizing the looming threat, Marco Bezzecchi instantly elevated his own lap times to neutralize any major loss in his cushion. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez hunted down Raul Fernandez, securing second place with just three laps remaining on the board.

Maintaining his composure at the front, Marco Bezzecchi crossed the finish line 3.083 seconds clear of Marc Marquez to seal an unforgettable victory. Speaking in the parc ferme, the Italian expressed immense satisfaction with his redemption drive. "It feels great and I am very happy because this is the performance we deserved," said Marco Bezzecchi, thanking the Aprilia factory in Noale and his crew.
Reflecting on his previous day's setback, he added, "It's a pity about yesterday, but that's part of the game. Striking back like this makes it even better!" With the Qatar chapter concluded, the paddock now prepares for the final two rounds, heading next to Portimao for the Portuguese Grand Prix where the championship battle intensifies.
