Intense competition unfolded under the floodlights of the Lusail International Circuit as Marco Bezzecchi delivered a sensational lap to secure the front spot on the grid. The Italian rider showcased incredible pace during the qualifying session, clocking a blistering time of 1:50.028 to shatter the all-time track record in Qatar. The exceptional speed of his Aprilia machine left his closest rivals scrambling to find answers throughout the demanding session.
Right behind the pole sitter, Marc Marquez underlined his championship pedigree by securing second place. The Ducati star extracted maximum performance from his bike, missing out on the top spot by a narrow margin. Meanwhile, the front row was completed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who delivered a stellar performance to lock down third position after a hard-fought battle in the dying seconds of Q2.
The second row of the grid promises plenty of action as Raul Fernandez claimed fourth place, closely followed by factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia in fifth. Bagnaia fought hard to find optimal grip as he aims to defend his position at the sharp end of the standings. Promising rookie Ai Ogura rounded out the second row in sixth, showcasing his impressive adaptability in the premier class.

Further down the order, drama struck several title contenders in the midfield. Jorge Martin faces a formidable challenge as he must fight through the pack from eleventh on the grid following physical struggles in qualifying. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta and Fermin Aldeguer both had to navigate their way through the tricky Q1 session before securing their respective grid slots.
With such a tightly packed starting grid, the upcoming Sprint Race and Grand Prix at Lusail are set to deliver high-octane drama and tactical battles. Teams are now working frantically to finalize tire strategies and race setups ahead of the lights-out moment in the desert.
