A dramatic race weekend unfolded for Lewis Hamilton during the action-packed Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit. Starting from the back of the grid following a penalty for new power unit components, the seven-time world champion stunned onlookers with a remarkable surge on the opening lap. Piloting his Scuderia Ferrari machinery, he sliced through the pack to rocket up into an incredible ninth position as the field completed the first lap.
However, that promising early momentum could not be sustained by the Maranello outfit as the race progressed. Instead of charging forward, Hamilton was forced to surrender a position to Haas driver Oliver Bearman to avoid a penalty after overtaking off the racing surface. Once again, heated radio exchanges filled the airwaves regarding tyre strategy and the correct timing for crucial pit stops in tricky weather conditions.
Persistent tyre management issues proved to be the ultimate achilles' heel for the British star throughout the weekend. Hamilton had been an early advocate for ditching the intermediate tyres in favor of dry slick compounds as the asphalt began to dry out, though executing that strategic shift cleanly proved to be an uphill battle.

"My start was phenomenal," Hamilton confirmed after the race in Brazil. "Unfortunately, this was a day where we had enormous problems with the tyres. Initially it was very tricky to get the rubber into the correct temperature window, and then the rear tyres degraded much earlier than expected, causing the car to oversteer like crazy.">
The veteran driver also detailed a heart-stopping moment when he ignored a late pit call to continue an overtaking maneuver, which nearly ended in disaster as sudden rainfall greased up the asphalt. "I was in a fight with Lawson and about to snatch the position when the call to box came in. I was right in the middle of attacking, so I stayed out, and promptly it was dangerously slippery in the first curve because of more rain—and I suffered a half-spin. I can count myself lucky not to end up in the wall," he added.
Reflecting on the overarching performance, Hamilton conceded that the team simply lacked raw pace across the entire weekend. The primary objective for the squad moving forward is to safeguard second place in the constructors' standings during the final stretch of the season.
