Lando Norris put his Sprint Race challenges behind him to storm to pole position for the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. The McLaren driver delivered a stunning lap of 1:11.163 at Zandvoort, edging out Mercedes' George Russell by just over a tenth of a second.
Kimi Antonelli made it an all-Mercedes front row by taking third, while Oscar Piastri slotted into fourth for McLaren. The two Ferraris had to settle for the second row, with Lewis Hamilton ahead of Charles Leclerc. But the big story was home hero Max Verstappen, who could only manage seventh for Red Bull, 0.455s off the pace.
Verstappen's struggles continued a difficult weekend for Red Bull, with Liam Lawson also down in eighth. Meanwhile, Gabriel Bortoleto impressed by taking ninth for Audi, and Arvid Lindblad rounded out the top ten for Racing Bulls. The midfield was tightly packed, but several big names missed out on Q3.

Franco Colapinto and Alex Albon both failed to progress beyond Q2, while Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll could only manage 18th and 19th. Sergio Perez, now driving for Cadillac, will start from the back after a difficult session.
Norris now has a golden opportunity to secure his second win of the season, but the threat from Mercedes and Ferrari remains. With changeable weather expected on Sunday, strategy could play a crucial role in deciding the outcome.
