The driver market ahead of the upcoming motorsport campaigns has taken a fascinating turn with Joshua Duerksen officially committing his immediate future to Hitech GP. The Paraguayan-German talent is set to extend his presence in the fiercely contested feeder series for a fourth consecutive year, bringing a wealth of race-winning experience and sharp technical feedback to his new pit crew.
Having established a reputation as a proven race victor across multiple campaigns with previous outfits, the Mercedes-AMG junior has consistently demonstrated the raw speed and racecraft required to fight at the sharp end of the grid. From his early rookie outings up to his recent stints with leading teams, his ability to extract performance from different tire compounds and chassis setups has made him one of the most dynamic talents in the paddock.
Looking ahead to the upcoming technical cycle and the introduction of fresh machinery regulations, the move represents a strategic step for both parties as they aim to challenge for championship honors against elite competition.

"I am incredibly excited to be joining Hitech for the upcoming season," the young contender stated. "The team has shown for many years that it is one of the strongest in F2 and I am very proud to have the opportunity to race with them. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, starting the work together and seeing what we can achieve."
He further emphasized the motivational boost provided by the upcoming technical changes. "The new car gives us another exciting challenge and I am really motivated to get started. I want to keep developing, keep fighting for wins and the best results possible on all tracks. I am confident that together we can achieve some great things next year."
Team leadership echoed the positive sentiment, highlighting the immense value that an experienced race-winner brings to the engineering debriefs, particularly when adapting to evolving car regulations.
"He is a proven F2 race-winner and we’ve seen first-hand from the pit wall the speed and race craft he brings," noted senior engineering figure Jan Sumann. "He has continued to develop throughout his time in the championship and has shown that he can deliver results and perform under pressure. He brings valuable experience with him, particularly as we head into the challenge of understanding car evolution. We’re looking forward to working with him."
