A major evolution is taking place in the feeder series landscape as Lando Norris and his newly established motorsport entity prepare for a massive expansion. LN4 Fusion has officially secured a coveted entry into the FIA Formula 2 championship starting in the 2027 season, following a successful application process. The ambitious squad will take over the assets and grid slot previously operated by AIX Racing, locking in their presence for the championship’s 2027-2029 regulatory cycle.
This major development comes hot on the heels of an announcement earlier in September confirming that the team founded by the Formula 1 world champion would also enter FIA Formula 3. Not content with just one junior category, the organization has aggressively scaled up its operations, branching out into Italian Formula 4, the FIA Formula Regional Championship, and continuing their ongoing development within the British Formula 4 programme.
Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel expressed his satisfaction with the incoming lineup for the upcoming multi-year cycle. “We received strong interest from teams around the world for this new three-year cycle,” he stated. Michel further praised the ten retained teams while noting his confidence that the newcomers will bring substantial expertise and make a highly valuable contribution to the championship's mission of nurturing young talent.

Reflecting on the milestone, LN4 Fusion Chief Executive Officer Dan Richards highlighted the significance of the project's rapid growth. “This is a significant milestone for LN4 Fusion and an important step towards delivering the vision we set out when we launched the team in September,” Richards remarked. He added that the ultimate priority is now focused squarely on establishing the right structural foundations and assembling an elite group of professionals to tackle the demanding F2 environment.
As preparations ramp up behind the scenes, the paddock rumor mill has already shifted into high gear regarding potential driver lineups for the 2027 campaign. Former F2 competitor Roman Stanek has been heavily linked with a seat inside the team, though management insists no official contracts have been finalized yet. With comprehensive testing and developmental groundwork underway, the motorsport world watches closely to see how the fresh outfit transitions into the ultimate proving ground.
