WorldSBK star Jonathan Rea recently demonstrated his deep dedication to family values and charitable causes outside of the racing circuit. As a legendary six-time Superbike World Champion, he lent his support to a major fundraising campaign dedicated to helping children and families facing the devastating diagnosis of cancer.
The initiative supports the Cancer Fund for Children and helps maintain Daisy Lodge, a specialized five-star hotel-style therapeutic facility where affected families can take a much-needed break and gather strength. Being a passionate football fan with two sons who play the sport, getting involved in the Windsor Park stadium event in Belfast was a natural choice for him.
During the charity run around the pitch at the Clearer Twist National Stadium, the experienced Honda test rider took on the final leg of the 120 planned laps. Instead of running on foot, he rode a road-legal CBR1000RR-R motorcycle slowly across the artificial turf, completing what was undoubtedly the slowest lap of his racing career.

The symbolic distance covered during the entire charity event matched the exact route from Belfast down to the Daisy Lodge facility located in County Down. Athlete involvement continues to play a vital role in raising awareness and financial support for pediatric cancer care programs.
