Heading into the race weekend at the Lusail International Circuit, Johann Zarco has shared his ambition to fully exploit the raw power of his Honda machine before the current technical regulations come to an end. The experienced French rider acknowledged that the chance to rocket down straightaways at speeds reaching 350 to 360 kilometers per hour is a unique privilege that will soon disappear with the introduction of smaller 850cc engines in 2027.

Strong pace was demonstrated by Johann Zarco during the previous round in Sepang, where he showed competitive speed throughout practice sessions and secured an eighth-place grid spot in qualifying. Unfortunately, Sunday's race did not go according to plan after a late crash while running in a promising position, following a tenth-place finish in the Sprint race under the Malaysian heat.

Attention now shifts to Qatar and its iconic nighttime floodlit setting, a venue that suits the rider's smooth style. "I remember having a great race here. I have good speed on this track—I hope it's the same this weekend," stated Johann Zarco, emphasizing the straightforward tyre selection process and the distinct challenge of transitioning from scorching afternoon tarmac to cool evening conditions.

An unusual starting grid in Qatar, marked by the absence of several top contenders including factory star Fabio Quartararo and his squad, presents a strategic window of opportunity. "Getting straight into Q2 could be easier than usual because fewer top riders are competing here. I think this can be an advantage," the veteran rider explained, aiming to capitalize on the depleted grid to secure a strong qualifying result.

Concluding his paddock remarks, the Frenchman confirmed his physical fitness is in peak shape, allowing him to push the limits even further. He intends to savor every moment aboard the current iteration of MotoGP machinery, knowing such sheer power will remain unmatched in the future chapters of the sport.
