Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar is optimistic about returning to the Formula 1 grid for the Italian Grand Prix, following a wrist injury that forced him to miss the Dutch Grand Prix. In a recent interview, he stated his recovery is progressing quickly and he hopes to race at Monza from 4-6 September.
The injury occurred during the summer break. Despite being sidelined from racing action at Zandvoort, the Frenchman attended the circuit for a filming session with the Milton Keynes squad. He admitted this is the first injury of his career and feels uncomfortable watching from the sidelines.
"It's weird to be on the bench, I'm not happy about it for myself or the team. I want to be there every lap," Hadjar said in a behind-the-scenes video released by Red Bull. He added that his wrist is not swollen, which is a good sign, and his mobility is improving daily.

Standing in for Hadjar, Liam Lawson secured six points for Red Bull with a seventh-place finish at Zandvoort. Team principal Laurent Mekies praised Lawson's quick adaptation, especially in qualifying where he was very close to Max Verstappen.
As of now, neither Red Bull nor Hadjar has officially confirmed his participation at Monza. Hadjar currently sits eighth in the drivers' standings with 68 points, while teammate Verstappen is sixth with 112 points. Red Bull's lineup for the Italian GP will be a major focus heading into the historic circuit's race weekend.
