WEC, Sportrik Media - British team Garage 59 has officially unveiled the livery of its two McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo entries ahead of its debut campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2026 season.
Known for its distinctive and eye-catching colour schemes in international sportscar racing, Garage 59 now prepares to take a significant step by entering the LMGT3 category at the global level of endurance racing. The championship operates under the regulations of the FIA and the ACO. The team has taken over the running of McLaren’s LMGT3 programme from United Autosports, which is transitioning to operate McLaren’s upcoming Hypercar programme scheduled to join the WEC grid in 2027.

Garage 59 will campaign two McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo cars, a platform that has already proven competitive in global GT racing. The model secured three victories during the 2025 season in the GT World Challenge Europe, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most competitive GT3 cars in the category.

The #10 entry will feature Antares Au, the 2024–2025 GT class champion in the Asian Le Mans Series. He will be joined by emerging talent Thomas Fleming and McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhofer, who has been a regular part of the Garage 59 programme in GT competition.
In the sister #58 car, Swedish veteran Alexander West will team up with McLaren factory driver Benji Goethe and young German driver Finn Gehrsitz. Gehrsitz impressed during the 2025 season with Akkodis ASP Team, claiming pole positions in Belgium and Bahrain along with a podium finish at Imola.
The start of the FIA World Endurance Championship 2026 season has also been adjusted after the opening Qatar 1812 km event was officially postponed due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East. As a result, the championship will now begin with the 6 Hours of Imola in Italy on 17–19 April, where Garage 59 will make its competitive WEC debut.
