MotoGP, Sportrik Media - The FIM and MotoGP have officially confirmed the 22-round calendar for the 2026 FIM MotoGP World Championship, highlighted by the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The 2026 season will begin at Buriram with the Thai Grand Prix on 27 February–1 March and conclude at Valencia on 20–22 November. As in 2025, there will be no triple-headers, with eight back-to-back sequences structured to reduce operational strain on teams and paddock personnel across a demanding global schedule.
Brazil returns to the championship through the Ayrton Senna Circuit in Goiania, marking the country’s first motorcycle grand prix since 2004. The event remains subject to homologation. Meanwhile, Argentina drops off the 2026 calendar but is scheduled to return in 2027 at Buenos Aires. The Qatar Grand Prix at Lusail will again be held under floodlights, maintaining the night-race format introduced in 2008.

Other adjustments include the British Grand Prix moving back to its traditional August slot at Silverstone, while the Austrian Grand Prix shifts to September, five weeks later than in 2025. The 22-round structure underlines championship stability ahead of the major technical regulation overhaul planned for 2027.
