Enea Bastianini has officially joined the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team starting in 2027. The Italian rider, nicknamed La Bestia, will partner with Raul Fernandez for the next two seasons, after Fernandez recently signed a contract extension with the American-based team.
This move adds another chapter to the already heated rider market of mid-2026. For Trackhouse, Bastianini's arrival is not just about adding a big name; it's a boost of experience the team desperately needs as they continue their upward trajectory. They are now a force to be reckoned with in the premier class, especially with the Aprilia RS-GP that keeps improving.
Bastianini is no stranger to the grand prix stage. After debuting in Moto3 in 2014, he moved up to Moto2 and became world champion in 2020. His MotoGP career started brightly: three podiums as a rookie in 2021, then victory after victory in 2022—Qatar, the Americas, France, and Aragon—propelling him to third in the final standings. Injury hampered him in 2023, but he bounced back in 2024 with nine podiums and two grand prix wins, finishing fourth overall.

This two-year deal is not just a formality. Bastianini will start working with the team at the Valencia test after the 2026 season ends. This marks the beginning of a new era for MotoGP—new bikes, new tires, new regulations—and Bastianini says he is ready for the challenge. "I am very excited to join SuperFile Trackhouse for the next two seasons," he said. "This is a real new challenge, and I am happy to bring my experience and fighting spirit to develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together."
Trackhouse owner Justin Marks welcomed Bastianini warmly. He believes Enea's racing record, winning history, and experience at the highest level create a perfect situation for a team on the verge of great success. "Enea's positive personality and humility are qualities we always look for," Marks said. "We will enjoy exciting moments chasing trophies together with Enea, Raul, and the whole team."
With the Bastianini-Fernandez pairing, Trackhouse clearly aims not just to be competitive but to become serious title contenders. The combination of experience and agility could be key. The question now is: will their chemistry click immediately on the Aprilia? The 2027 season will provide the answer.
